Ossett Albion Match Preview .

Monday 30th January 2012, 10:22 PM

It’s Ossett Albion in the West Riding County Cup Quarter Final for Harrogate Town tomorrow.
The short trip over to the Warehouse Systems Stadium will be a welcome relief to Simon Weaver’s men as they can move their focus away from their league position temporarily. However, it is a competition that they will like to win for prides sake.
At the moment the manager is keeping his selection for this match very close to his chest, so it is not known if players will be rested for the important Blue Square Bet North match against Corby Town.
Town’s hosts play in the Northern Premier First Division North and at present lie in 20th place. Their last result at home saw them lose heavily to play-off challengers Witton Albion 4-0.
Ossett have had one success in this competition already having beaten Albion Sports in the last round, although it did take a penalty shoot-out to seal the tie.
The last time the two sides met was in 2001-2002 when Town drew 0-0 at Wetherby Road but easily defeated them 4-2 at their ground. Ossett suffered the indignation of being relegated that year.
One name in Ossett’s ranks will be instantly recognisable to Town fans as one of their goalkeepers is none other than Ashley Connor!
There will be no BBC Radio York coverage tomorrow but, hopefully, there will be updates on our Twitter and Facebook pages.
