Hinckley United Match Preview .
Friday 27th January 2012, 12:06 AM
Looking to bounce back after our heavy defeat against Altrincham last week, we welcome Hinckley United to the CNG Stadium this Saturday.
Hinckley find themselves in the bottom three at present but certainly are in touching distance of the teams above them (including us) which is essence makes this clash a real “six pointer.” In fact this section of the league is so tightly packed together at the moment that a win for us could see us jump to 14th whilst a defeat could see us replace Hinckley in the bottom three!
Our visitor’s away record reads 3 wins in 12 (with 2 draws along the way). They have scored 18 on their travels whilst conceding 35. Their last away match was a 5-2 victory over Nuneaton on New Year’s Day. Since the beginning of January they have certainly found their shooting boots with results such as 4-0 over Eastwood and an amazing 5-5 draw with 2nd placed Stalybridge Celtic. Striker Andre Gray will be viewed by Simon Weaver as being a dangerman. The hitman leads The Knitters goalscoring chart with 12 goals but he is being closely chased by Danny Newton on 11.
The two teams have already met this season with Harrogate coming from behind to record a 2-1 win at the Marston Stadium in August last year. Our goalscorers that game were Pete Bore (pictured below) and Paul Brayson.
Injury wise, Town can now add Michael Brough and Patrece Liburd to the injury list. They have no suspensions to worry about this match.
As normal, there will be radio commentary from BBC Radio York (MW 666) available for this match, and hopefully, technology willing, there will also be regular updates via our Twitter and Facebook pages.
