Solihull Moors Match Preview
Friday 2nd December 2011, 9:30 PM
Harrogate Town travel to the West Midlands to take on Solihull Moors on Saturday afternoon. Both clubs will be after the three points but for very different reasons. Solihull haven’t won in the league in the last two attempts whilst Town will be looking to build on the momentum of their 2-1 win over Eastwood Town.
This is the first time that the two teams have meet this season but last season we beat them 2-0 at the CNG Stadium, thanks to goals from Liam Hardy and a penalty from Graeme Armstrong. Away, we held them to a 2-2 draw, Armstrong found the target again (with another penalty) and the only goal scored so far by skipper Jake Picton.
Solihull are currently one place behind us in the league on 20 points. At home they have managed 4 wins out of 9 and have scored the lowest amount of home goals in the league with 8.
This match will be Simon Weaver’s 100th league match in charge of Town, so he will be looking for nothing short of a comprehensive victory. However, he will be doing it without Adam Nowakowski, Chris Elliott, Danny Stimpson and Liam Hardy. It is possible the central defender Richard Pell will be available following a recent injury. There are no suspension worries for Harrogate tomorrow.
As normal, there will be match coverage on Radio York LW 666. Hopefully, there will also be updates via our Twitter and Facebook pages as well.
