A very versatile player, Adam has found himself utilised in a mixture of defensive and midfield positions over the past two seasons.
A local lad, who had early trials at Leeds United, Adam was elevated from the Town reserves in 2009 and soon became a permanent fixture in the heart of the midfield. His first goal came in the 3-2 win against FC United of Manchester in the FA Trophy.
Always one to fight for every ball, Adam found himself partnering Jake Picton in the centre-back position towards the end of last season, and it was this paring that helped Town go on a ten match unbeaten run.
