Chib Chilaka

Chib rejoined Harrogate Town in Feb 2012 after being released from Blue Square Bet Premier side Braintree Town.

Originally, the powerful striker had joined us on loan from Bradford City in 2011 and had made his mark by scoring all three goals in the 3-0 win over Gloucester City.

Chib’s career started at Rushden and Diamonds before moving to the youth team at Notts County. He made his debut against Northampton Town in the Football League Trophy but didn’t feature again. A quick loan spell to Hinckley United saw him appear twice but not score any goals.

2008-2009 saw Chib play for Bridlington Town and he went on to score 38 goals (25 in league). Following a change in University, Leeds Carnegie became home the following season and again Chib soon found the back of the as he scored at least 20 goals in the league.

Following a successful trial, Chib joined Bradford City but found it difficult to break into the first team. In 2010, he had a short loan spell at Bradford Park Avenue before he came to us. At the end of the 2010-2011 season he left Bradford City and joined Braintree Town.
