Paul joined Town on loan from Mansfield Town just in time for his debut against Guiseley AFC to be cancelled due to a waterlogged pitch!
Originally on the books of hometown Bradford City, he made a total of 14 appearances before a £75,000 move to Notts County happened. Paul quickly became established in the heart of the team and seven seasons later he had made 193 appearances (7 goals scored).
2005 saw Paul move to Grimsby Town where he spent 3 seasons making 138 appearances (15 goals). On the move again, Paul joined Macclesfield Town in 2009 and quickly became a fans favourite playing 66 games (3 goals).
Refusing a new deal at Macclesfield Town, Paul joined current club Mansfield Town in 2011 and has, so far, made 12 appearances.
