Richard joined Harrogate from Blue Square Bet North rivals Blyth Spartans in July 2010 and has quickly become a fans favourite with his all action displays.
A tall, strong central defender, Richard started out at Nottingham Forest before moves to Lincoln City, Boston Town, Gainsborough Trinity and his first spell at Blyth Spartans took place.
A brief episode at Alfreton took place at the beginning of the 2009/1010 season before Richard returned back to Blyth. He helped command “the Spartans” rearguard during their epic FA Cup run when they bowed out of the competition in the third round proper with a narrow 1-0 defeat against Premiership side Blackburn Rovers.
