Background

Harrogate Town Ladies

Harrogate Town run three Ladies teams; our first team, following two promotion winning seasons, now lie one promotion away from a place in the Women’s Premier League.

Two ex-Town players have now progressed to play in the Women’s Super League, Leah Galton at Manchester United, and Jade Pennock at Sheffield United.

Below the first team, our development team, managed by Matt Gosling, is comprised mainly of 16/17 year olds who compete with great distinction against more experienced older sides in the North Riding Premier League.

Both the first team and development team play their home games at The Army Foundation College, Uniacke Barracks, Penny Pot Lane, Killinghall, Harrogate, HG3 2SE.

In addition to this we will be running an Under 16s side who will be managed by Nic Streatfield and play their West Riding League fixtures at Grange Park, Old Boston Road, Wetherby, LS22 5NB.

Streatfield's side won their first silverware in September 2020, coming back from 4-1 down to beat Guiseley in the WRGFL Shield.

We now have nearly 50 girls, aged from 7 to 15 years, registered at our Player Development Centre.
