Burrell Signs Long Term Contract

We are delighted to announce that Warren Burrell has today signed new long term deal with the club.

Warren joined Town in 2016 for his second spell at The CNG Stadium and has now made over 180 appearances for the club.

The Sheffield born player has become a favourite with the fans, putting in commanding performances week in week out wherever he plays.

Our Vice-Captain was delighted to have put pen to paper:

“I’m very pleased to commit my future here. Now it’s about working hard again and giving my all.

“Since I’ve been at the club, I’ve tried to give my all each and every game and now it’s just about getting us where we want to be.”

Burrell’s hat trick against Aldershot in the 2018/19 season is a moment that will live long in the memory of Town fans, and Simon Weaver couldn’t be happier for his number six:

“Warren has done it for what seems like a decade. He’s an incredible athlete and he wears his heart on his sleeve and plays for the badge game in, game out.

“He plays with knocks, plays in different positions and I can’t think more highly of him.”

Warren is sponsored by Ed Hess (Home), Alvin Hood and Kevin Guy (Away) and Ryan and Paul Keillar (Boots).
