Community SASH Sleepout

Harrogate Town AFC Community Foundation to welcome local businesses at the SASH Sleepout 2019 at The CNG Stadium on Friday 11th October.

We are looking to welcome local businesses, business leaders and fans from across the local area to join us for one night sleeping by the side of the pitch to raise awareness of the SASH – Preventing Youth Homelessness Together.

Working with CNG, a local energy company who pride themselves on looking after local people and communities we hope to make a big difference and change the fortunes of many young people within Harrogate and District.

For those of you that are unaware, SASH helps young people who are facing homelessness by offering them a room in a volunteer’s home. The charity’s services ensure that vulnerable 16-25 year olds are kept safe at night and that they have the support they need to find somewhere permanent to stay.

The charity is keen for as many people as possible take part in the event and help spread the word about how SASH helps.
Business Development Manager Ruth Fawcett said: “If you live in the Harrogate area and are concerned about what happens to young people who have nowhere safe to stay, please join us for the Sleepout, raise some funds and tell your friends, family and colleagues about our work.

"We need lots more supporters and volunteers in Harrogate so if you think you can help please get in touch.”

“The sleepout is a great way to raise awareness of the continued work SASH and their volunteer hosts carry out on a daily basis." Added Iain Service, Harrogate Town AFC Community Foundation Development Manager.

"Harrogate Town AFC Community Foundation and HTAFC are really pleased to be involved with the SASH Sleepout for 2019. Do not delay sign up right now!"
