Ladies to Run Three Teams for 2020/21 Season

Ahead of today’s opening game of the 2020/21 season for the Ladies first team, we are pleased to announce our Ladies set-up will be operating with three teams for the coming season.

The first team, managed by Bob Wilkinson, will compete in the NERWFL Premier Division, with home fixtures taking place at The Army Foundation College, Uniacke Barracks, Penny Pot Lane, Killinghall, Harrogate, HG3 2SE.

The development team will also play at The Army Foundation College and will be managed by Matt Gosling for the 2020/21 campaign.

In addition to this we will be running an Under 16s side who will be managed by Nic Streatfield and play their West Riding League fixtures at Grange Park, Old Boston Road, Wetherby, LS22 5NB.

Women & Girls Development Officer Commented: “We are looking to build a pathway starting with the U16 girls that leads into open age football, either with the Development Squad or First Team.

"We are also looking to introduce a Sports BTEC qualification to any girls who would like to follow this educational pathway and further this educational pathway either by the club’s links at York St John University, or via our links to football in the USA.”

This Summer has seen both Grace Foyer and Kirsty MacGregor head across the pond to continue their footballing careers.

The season has already started for our U16s, winning 6-0 away at Ackworth and then 8-0 away at Poppleton…the team entertain Amaranth Crossgates next, followed by Wetherby on the 9th September.
Here’s to another successful season across all three teams.
