Michael Pedley, who played for Harrogate Town AFC in 2008/09 has returned to join the Community Foundation as our NEW Premier League Primary Stars Coordinator.
This new position has been made possible by the support from the Premier League Charitable Fund, National League Trust and the Professional Footballers Association. Michael will be tasked with developing and co-ordinating the Community Foundations PE and School Sport Programme and develop links within local Primary Schools.
Community Foundation Development Manager Iain Service explains the importance of this appointment – ‘To have someone like Michael coming onboard to grow the schools programme will invaluable. He has a track record of delivering high quality PE in local primary schools as well as being a highly qualified football coach.
We hope that Michael can continue our involvement within local schools and inspire and engage young people into being active.
Mike is certainly looking forward to getting started ‘It is fantastic to be back at the club. It is evident to see on and off the pitch that the club is only going in one direction, certainly exciting times for the Club and the Town. I look forward to working within the local community, helping to contribute further to the great work already being done’.
Mike will link up with Iain Service, Community Development Manager to further develop the Schools Programme and continue the progress over the last two years.
