Irons Striker Signs On Loan

Harrogate Town have today completed the loan signing of Scunthorpe United forward Noel Burdett.

Burdett will join up with Simon Weaver’s squad until 1st January 2018, providing another attacking option in the absence of Simon Ainge and Dominic Knowles.

The 19-year-old has been at The Irons since the age of nine and has been versatile enough to feature as a striker and midfielder for the League One club, before signing a professional contract in Summer 2016.

Scunthorpe born Burdett has been involved with The Irons’ development team regularly over the last two seasons and has been on the first team bench on occasions.

Burdett enjoyed a prolific loan spell at Evo-Stik South side Frickley towards the end of 2016 where he notched nine goals in 13 appearances.

The talented attacker then made a loan move to National League North outfit Gainsborough Trinity until February 2017 and will be looking to once again link up with Jordan Thewlis, only this time in a Town shirt.

We would like to thank Scunthorpe United and welcome Noel to the club; we look forward to seeing him out on the pitch.
