Town to Host York in Trophy

Harrogate Town have been drawn against York City in the Buildbase FA Trophy First Round.

The tie is due to be played the weekend of Saturday 15th December at The CNG Stadium.

The match will be the third time the sides seperated by just 20 miles have met in a competitive fixture, with Town claiming 2-0 wins in both meetings last season.

Simon Weaver's side will be looking to progress further than last year's run to the third round, when Wrexham and St Albans were defeated before defeat at Billericay ended the cup run.

Our Trophy opponents currently sit 17th in The National League North under Manager Sam Collins, but recorded an impressive 3-1 win at Kidderminster to reach this stage of the competition.

York can boast an impressive history in the FA Trophy, winning the competition on two occasions, the most recent coming in 2017 when Macclesfield were overcome at Wembley Stadium.

Ticket information will be released in due course.
