Trio of Pre-Season Friendlies Announced

Our preperations for a first season in The National League will involve pre-season trips to Knaresborough Town and Brighouse Town, before Scarborough Athletic visit The CNG Stadium.

The first scheduled match will see Simon Weaver's side travel to Manse Lane on Tuesday 10th July to take on NCEL Division One Champions Knaresborough Town.

2017/18 was an incredible year for Paul Stansfield's side, who became the first ever NCEL Division One team to hit the 100-point mark, and will now, like Town, be looking to show they are ready to step up a division with a strong pre-season.

A week later, on Tuesday 17th July, Town will travel to The Yorkshire Payments Stadium for a meeting with Brighouse; under the helm of former Assistant Manager Vil Powell.

The Tangerines finished 17th in 2017/18's Evo-Stik NPL D1N, but were not far from achieving a top half finish, and have laid some solid foundations for the season ahead.

On Tuesday 24th July Town will welcome another recently promoted team to The CNG Stadium as Scarborough Athletic make the short journey.

The Seadogs finished only below South Shields in the same division as Brighouse, and will be preparing for a season in which they will be taking on the likes of North Ferriby and Gainsborough in a competitive looking Northern Premier League.

Ticket information regarding the home match against Scarborough will be released in due course.
