U17s | Thornes Juniors 0 Town 6

After their biggest win of the season the weekend before, Town's U17's were back in action away to a Thornes side they drew with earlier in the season.
Town enjoyed the majority of possession in the first 15 minutes as Thornes put a lot of players behind the ball as Josh Wicks and Joe Gosling both went close, but couldn't convert their chances.
Josh Walsh's side took the lead in the 18th minute when Danny Mutch managed to find space around the crowded penalty area to bend his shot into the top corner.
One quickly became two when Mutch this time turned provider; his run and cross towards the back post being turned in by Adam Kellett.
Town added a third just before half time when Connor Whelan was sent down the left before crossing for Gosling to score.
Lucas Abusin scored Towns fourth and fifth, first meeting a Tom Johnson corner at the back post then latching onto Kellett's pull back before finishing well into the bottom corner.
Gabe Humphries finished off the scoring after he found space inside the box before firing a low shot into the bottom corner.
6-0 it finished, the perfect preperation for Sunday 3rd March's top of the table clash against Rothwell Town.
