U19 Alliance Team Claim First Win

Our National League Youth Alliance U19 Team claimed their first win of the season yesterday with a 3-2 success at Farsley Celtic.

Josh Walsh and Phil Priestley’s side went into the clash at Throstle Nest having taken a point from their opening two games and took the lead early on as Harry Sadler converted a free kick.

Sadler doubled the lead not long after with another impressive finish, this time beating the Farsley ‘keeper via the underside of the bar.

The hosts pulled a goal back to make it 2-1 to Town at the interval, but Liam Whyte’s header soon restored the two goal cushion.

A late Farsley goal meant a nervy final ten minutes were in store, but Town held on for a memorable win that lifts them into sixth place in the National League U19 Alliance Division I.

Town Squad: Rhys Durkin, Ryan Lever, Fin Darvill, Ethan Donechie, Jack Morrison, David Lawn, Jack Pickford, Harvey Thompson, Hugo Martin, Harry Sadler, Liam Whyte, James Sherne, Charlie Anderson, Gabe Humphries
