Having successfully completed a trial period with the West Yorkshire club, we are proud to reveal U9 Academy player Henry Parker has been offered a one-year place with Bradford City.
Henry began attending the Player Development Centre three years ago, as well as being a frequent participant in our Summer Camps, Henry has developed as a footballer as an outstanding pace.
Henry was then selected for Town’s newly established Academy side in the Summer, where he has since been able to test his skills acquired against a series of Football League Academies.
The move higher up the pyramid to Bradford City is testament to the work being put in by our coaches on the training ground with PDC attendance continuing to rise at a phenomenal rate.
Upon hearing the news, First Team Manager Simon Weaver commented: “Our main focus is on enjoyment and development of the player, including giving them great experiences and opportunities to remember.
“If the kids choose to stay with us then great, but if they want to experience football elsewhere then that is fine too.”
Henry’s Dad Paul added: “Henry has really enjoyed his time with Harrogate Town and is very proud to represent his hometown club, but this is obviously a big opportunity that we cannot turn down.”
Henry moves on with the best wishes of the club and we look forward to seeing his development continue with Bradford City.
