Harrogate Town reclaimed second place in the National League North with a third straight win over Boston United.
Town fell behind after just four minutes when Ashley Hemmings scored from the spot, but levelled from their own penalty kick just two minutes later as Joe Leesley converted the rebound of his own saved attempt.Town took the lead seven minutes before the break as George Thomson produced a fine left footed effort that found the top left corner from just outside the box.
At 2-1, Boston were still in the game, but when Jordan Thewlis beat his marker and fired across George Willis to make it three just before the hour mark, Town never looked like letting go of the win.
Simon Weaver made one change from last weekend's defeat at Spennymoor as Thewlis replaced Andrew Nelson who had returned to parent club Sunderland.
After just three minutes of action, the visitors were awarded a spot kick when referee Alex Kirkley saw a push by Warren Burrell inside the Harrogate box, allowing Hemmings to step up and beat James Belshaw to his left.
Three minutes later Town were also given the chance to score from the spot after Thomson's excellent cross field pass released Josh Falkingham, who was bundled over by the recovering Boston man.
Leesley stepped up and saw his initial attempt save, but levelled the scores by tapping home the rebound.
After a frantic start, chances became few and far between with only a few dangerous Leesley crosses into the box looking like putting Town ahead.
With ten minutes remaining of the half, Liam Agnew had a fantastic opportunity to put Town ahead after Thewlis' clever pull back, but the midfielder somehow dragged his finish wide.
Three minutes after the miss, Thomson cut back on his left foot on the corner of the penalty area and fired an absolute rocket into the top left corner to make the score 2-1.
Only a clever save from George Willis on the stroke of half time prevented Town from extending their lead as Ryan Fallowfield's near post shot was kept out.
Town's third arrived just before the hour mark as Thewlis beat his marker for pace on the counter attack and fired across Willis and in.
Hemmings tried to reduce his side's deficit back to one five minutes later with a dipping free kick, but Belshaw was able to tip over the cross bar.
Mitch Curry was introduced deep into the second half, and nearly set up Town's fourth when picking out Falkingham at the near post, but Town's Captain could only find the side netting.
Despite needing an unlikely turnaround to get something out of the game, Boston kept pressing to their credit as substitute Kabonga Tshimanga almost headed in a consolation goal at the back post, though his side were sent home empty handed.
