Harrogate Town's U21 side continued momentum from their recent West Riding County Cup win by winning 3-0 at Hemsworth Miners Welfare.
Goals from Sam Barker, Charlie Baird and Henry Rollinson ensured Josh Falkingham's side leapfrogged their opponents into second place in the West Riding U21 League.
Town started well with high intensity pressing in midfield and began working the ball into dangerous areas, which is how the opening goal arrived.
Baird received the ball inside the Hemsworth penalty area before squaring up his opposition centre back and firing across goal where Barker was waiting to tuck into the bottom corner.
Now a goal to the good, Town were firmly in control and went into half time with a deserved lead.
Falkingham's side started the second half with the same intensity as they did the first and soon doubled their lead when heavy pressure resulted in the ball falling to Baird in the box and in a good position to turn and execute a striker's finish.
Despite the majority of the side playing 90 minutes plus penalties on Tuesday night, there were no signs of fatigue as Rollinson made it three with the pick of the goals.
Town had worked the ball to the left of the box where Barker darted inside the area and pulled back into the path of Rollinson who struck the ball first time into the top right corner.
Manager Falkingham said: “The boys are absolutely flying confidence wise and we want to carry that momentum into Monday night's game against Ossett Town back at The CNG Stadium.
“The lads are really starting to believe in themselves and both individually and collectively the performances have been spot on.
“We were up against second in the league, but we were too quick and too sharp for them, which is really encouraging to see.”
