A brace from the returning Louie Swain helped Town's U21 side move to the top of the West Riding U21 Floodlit League on Monday night.

Swain had not featured for Town since March after rupturing his cruciate ligament, but took just three minutes to get back amongst the goals; heading home from close range after good link up play with Jordan Thewlis.
Six minutes later and the striker had his second as more good work from from Thewlis, as well as Morgan Smith, saw the ball cut back to Swain waiting to finish.
Thewlis was desperate to also get on the score sheet, but headed wide moments before seeing a fierce shot beaten away by the Ossett goalkeeper.
Town's two frontmen were overpowering the visiting defence, and Swain could have claimed his hat-trick on the half hour mark, but fired over on his right foot.
Both Joe Cracknell and his opposite number were forced into saves before the break as Town's stopper kept out a long range drive, while Ossett's ‘keeper again denied Thewlis after a mazy run.
Town's third of the evening arrived two minutes after the break when Andy Higgins climbed highest to head Smith's corner into the back of the net.
Sam Barker was unlucky not to make it four on the hour as the midfielder's finish rattled the post following Thewlis' unselfish pull back.
Despite the score-line, Cracknell was forced into making a top draw save midway through the second half to deny Ossett Town's striker who had found himself one on one.
With ten minutes to go, Town claimed their fourth as another corner was converted, this time by substitute Charlie Baird.
Thewlis had worked hard all evening, and eventually got a deserved goal in the 89th minute as his pace got him in behind the defence and able to coolly finish.
Speaking after the game, Manager Josh Falkingham said: “I'm really happy with the result tonight, the confidence the lads have at the moment is really shining through.
“As well as the five goals we are delighted with the clean sheet, and it could have been more if we had been that little bit more clinical.”
Falkingham's side are back in action next Monday with a trip to Campion.
