On Sunday 22nd October our sponsors Strata Homes will be holding a 7-a-side tournament at The CNG Stadium in aid of selected charity Danielle's Flutterbyes.
Participating teams will have the opportunity to bid for ex-professional footballers to join their team, with Town Assistant Manager Paul Thirlwell and Matt Heath among some of the players available to bid on.Bar and catering facilities will be available for family and friends throughout the day in the 1919 Venue and Tea Bar, while children's activities such as face painting and a bouncy castle will be available.
Following the final game there will be a trophy presentation and a small charity auction. We will be joined by Ruth from Danielle's Flutterbyes who will give a short speech about the work they do.
Danielle's Flutterbyes was set up in 2015 in memory of Danielle Stretton, who lost her battle against kidney disease on Boxing Day 2014 at the age of just 24.
Run by Danielle's sister, mum and family friend, the charity works hard to make life more bearable for young patients aged 18 -30 who have been diagnosed with kidney disease.
Funds are used to purchase equipment, recreational experiences and raise awareness of what impact this incurable disease has on young lives.
To support the charity or find out more information please come down on Sunday to attend the tournament, completely free of charge, or visit daniellesflutterbyes.org.uk
