Town face their final midweek fixture of the season on Tuesday night as Simon Weaver's side travel to York Street to face Boston United.
After Saturday's win over Southport, Town remain three points behind league leaders Salford with three games to go, while Boston secured their safety mathematically despite a 2-1 defeat to Bradford Park Avenue.
Although currently eight points away from the play-off places, a win could take Boston as high as tenth; some achievement for a side who sat second bottom when the sides last met in November.
That 3-1 victory for Town coincided with Craig Elliot's first match in charge of the Pilgrims who now boast the 9th best home record in the National League North.
York Street has been the place to go for goals this season, with only The CNG Stadium and Aggborough producing more, with only four teams in the league netting more on home soil than Elliot's side.
Boston have lost just two of their last 11 at home, though only Alfreton have picked up less points at home over the last five games.
For Boston to continue their goal scoring exploits, they will have to break through a Town defence that has conceded just one in their last four games.
Weaver's side are also unbeaten in their last five away matches and have lost just one of the last 13 National League North fixtures.
Recent meetings between the two has favoured Town, who have won the last three meetings, while Boston have come out on top in just one of the last 12 meetings between the sides.
Jake Wright has been declared fit for the tie, though Liam Kitching serves the final match of his suspension, while Boston will be without Ben Middleton who is on loan from Town.
If selected, Joe Leesley will be making his 100th appearance for the club he joined in Summer 2016, while both Liam Agnew and Andi Thanoj will come up against their former employers.
