U21s | Town 2 Campion 2

16 April 2018

Prince Attakorah's goal deep into stoppage time rescued a point for Town Under 21's on Monday night after coming back from 2-0 down to draw with Campion.

Prince Attakorah had the first chance of the contest as Campion's goalkeeper fumbled a long ball, though the winger's shot was headed off the line.

Andy Higgins was next to go close, but couldn't direct his header from Max Landau's corner on target.

At the other end, Jordan Myers was forced into keeping out the visiting number ten's powerful shot with a smart save down to his right.

After five minutes of second half play Campion took the lead as a clever switch of play by Matthias Britton found his left winger in space and able to slot past Myers via a slight deflection.

Three minutes later the Campion number 11 claimed his second in four minutes from the penalty spot.

Sam Barker almost got his side back into the game in the 63rd minute when he rattled the bar with a curling effort, though Town's goal arrived a minute later.

Sam Clark had been on the field no longer than a minute, before he unleashed a powerful effort into the back of the net from the edge of the area.

Barker tried to equalise with another strike from the edge of the area, but this time the Campion keeper claimed the shot.

Town threw men forward to find an equaliser that resulted in gaps being left at the back, but Campion found Myers in good form to stop the visitors adding to their tally.

With the visitors looking good for the three points, Attakorah slalomed his way into the box and poked into the bottom corner in the dying seconds to rescue his side a point.
