U19s | Town 2 Brighouse 0

13 August 2018

Goals from Little and Sam Clark ensured preperations for Town U19s season in the WRCFA U23 League took another step forward with a win over Brighouse U21s.

A pre-match downpour didn't dampen Town's spirits as Neil Patience's well hit drive was blocked early on.

Sam Clark went close after 20 minutes, but forced a good save, before the deadlock was broken in the 31st minute through Little.

Clark's strike partner received a cut back from Dixon-Blair, who had beaten his man and picked out Little, who finished well.

Ten minutes later Little turned provider, releasing Clark with a well weighted through ball that the striker was able to loft over the advancing goalkeeper.

Patience almost made it three on the stroke of half time, but saw his free kick heading for the top corner beaten away.

Five minutes after he restart Brighouse countered from a Town free kick, but the visiting number nine hit the inside of the post and Town clear.

After a number of changes, on of the substitutes Sean Hunter held the ball up before releasing James Richardson down the left, but the winger's low shot was saved by the feet of the 'keeper.

Despite the visitors pushing men forward, Town held firm and claimed the win.
