Josh Falkingham's Under 19s claimed their first ever win on Thursday night with a 2-0 victory over Knaresborough Town Reserves.
Goals from Soni Fergus and Gus Steele in the first half put the icing on an assured performance as the young Town side prepare for life in the WRCFA Floodlit League.Town took the lead in style after just nine minutes as central midfielder soni Fergus drove forward and arrowed into the bottom corner from 25 yards.
Savory-Stewart had a good chance to make it two after the half hour mark when James Richardson sprinted down the right and pulled the ball back, but the striker's shot cleared the cross bar.
Eight minutes before the break the second goal arrived as a left sided corner was finished off at the back post by centre back Gus Steele.
The visitors made some changes at the break and started the second half strongly, though found an in form Taylor-Widdowson able to tip over the cross bar.
The visitors maintained their improved display throughout the second 45, but couldn't find a way past a well drilled Town defence.
