Town are back in National League action on Saturday as they travel to The Silverlake Stadium for the first time.

The first meeting between Town and Eastleigh at the start of September resulted in Town's biggest win of the season to date as Jack Muldoon and Mark Beck both struck a brace to send Andy Hessenthaler's side home empty handed.

The Spitfires have had a change of Manager since then though, with Hessenthaler departing for Dover and Ben Strevens taking charge in November.

Strevens, in his first job as an outright Manager, has guided his side to 9th place, five positions higher than last season's finish and the position Eastleigh were in the last time they faced Town.

While Town were seeing off York at The CNG Stadium last weekend, Saturday's opponents saw their FA Trophy campaign end with a 2-1 defeat at Hemel Hempstead.

That defeat followed a 2-0 loss at The Racecourse Ground, where an impressive seven game unbeaten run had been brought to an end.

Currently ten points behind Town, a fourth home National League win of the season on Saturday could lift Strevens' side into the Play Off positions.

The Spitfires have not won in their last six at The Silverlake Stadium, though have lost just two of their last 15 National League games.

Over the last 15 games, both Town and Eastleigh have collected the same amount of points and in Paul McCullum (12) and Muldoon (10), have two of the league's top scorers.

Only two teams, including Eastleigh, have taken more points away from home than Simon Weaver's side, who sit four points off top spot following victory over Aldershot a fortnight ago.

Town will be without Jordan Thewlis through injury, as well as Liam Agnew and Toby Lees who are both out on loan, though Callum Howe has recovered from the illness that kept him out of last weekend's Trophy win.
