Dayle Southwell's 88th minute goal send Town to a Boxing Day defeat against Yorkshire rivals Halifax at The CNG Stadium.
Town had gone into the break ahead thanks to Callum Howe's seventh of the season, though Nathan Clarke headed an equaliser ten minutes after the restart. With two minutes of normal time remaining, Southwell struck low and hard across goal to inflict just a second home league defeat of the season on Simon Weaver's side.
Weaver made two changes from Saturday's trip to Eastleigh as Jack Muldoon returned to the starting line-up, while Michael Woods made his first start since re-signing from Hartlepool.
Both Town's strike force registered shots in the opening quarter of an hour with Dom Knowles forcing a save from Sam Johnson at his near post, before Muldoon's powerful drive was deflected behind for a corner.
Captain Josh Falkingham went close with a volley not long after, before some intricate play between Knowles and Woods found a way through the Halifax defense, though not past Johnson who tipped Woods' low finish around the post.
Just after the half hour mark, Halifax almost hit on the counter attack, breaking forward from a Town corner and finding Dayle Southwell, though the former Town forward was met by James Belshaw who saved the one-on-one attempt.
The save would prove vital as Town went on to take the lead in the 36th minute as Joe Leesley's free kick found its way to Howe at the back post, who controlled and volleyed past Johnson.
Another Leesley set piece caused the visitors problems four minutes before the break, though Liam Kitching's close range header was caught by the Shaymen stopper.
Halifax started the second half desperate to get themselves back level and did just that ten minutes after the restart.
After Belshaw had tipped Southwell's volley round the post for a corner, Clarke arrived at the back post to head in the equaliser.
With 20 minutes to go, Town almost regained the lead as Knowles found Muldoon on the edge of the box, though the striker's low shot was blocked before bouncing up close to an arm, leading to appeals for a penalty from the home fans behind the goal, though the Referee waved away the protests.
Kitching went close a minute later, meeting Leesley's cross after the winger had beaten his man and delivered, but heading wide of the post.
With neither sides conceding many chances, Halifax struck to claim all three points in the 88th minute as Southwell struck low and hard across Belshaw.
