A youthful Town XI could not stop Buxton from claiming a 3-1 vicrtory at The CNG Stadium on Monday night.
Sam Clark (above) had put Town ahead, but goals from Hardy, Trialist and Gee saw the NPL Premier League side leave with the win.
Josh Falkingham named first team players Joe Cracknell, Kelvin Langmead, Lloyd Kerry and Joe Leesley in his starting line-up.
Despite the first chance of the evening falling the way of the visitors, Sam Clark put Town ahead in the 11th minute after recieveng a perfectly weighted through ball from Sam Barker, rounding the 'keeper and finishing.
Hardy should have levelled in the 27th minute, but cleared the cross bar from a yard moments before Cracknell tipped Dean's shot round the post at full stretch.
Hardy didn't make the same mistake four minutes later though after a defensive bobble allowed the striker to find the bottom right corner.
Buxton edged ahead five minutes after the restart, seconds after Kerry took a knock that forced him off, A Trialist found the bottom corner with a volley from the edge of the area.
Just over ten minutes later and it was three as Buxton reclaimed possession in the middle of the park and released Gee who powered past Cracknell.
Langmead, who had been pushed up front later in the game, went close to pulling a goal back, but saw his header from Leesley's corner headed from the line.
