About the fixture...
The FA Inter League Cup is a National Competition for Clubs playing at Step 7 of the ladder. This is York's second venture into this competition having previously being knocked out by the Yorkshire Amateur league in the first round in their first time in the competition.
However, following the appointment of new Managers Chris Smith and Simon Wood at the start of the current season, the side has been steadily improving.
York have reached the Semi-Final following wins against the West Riding County Amateur League 2-1, the Chester and Wirral League 8-1 and the Staffordshire County League by 4-0; The latter two being played at the CNG Stadium.
The second Semi-Final is being contested between the Amateur Combination League and the North Riding League ( Formerly The Teesside League), meaning there could be an all Northern Final for the second time in a row!
The last final was between the Teesside league and the West Yorkshire league with the WYL running our winners.
The eventual winners of the FA Inter League Cup get to represent England in the UEAFA Regions Cup which this year is being played in Slovakia.
The York Football League have passed on that they would like to welcome the Kent squad to the CNG Stadium and hope they enjoy their day out in Harrogate.
The York League Management Committee would like to thank all at Harrogate Town FC for the use of their facilities and kind hospitality and hope to be back at the CNG Stadium in the future.
