Jade Pennock Joins WSL Doncaster Belles

15 March 2018

Harrogate Town midfielder Jade Pennock has joined FA Women's Super League side Doncaster Belles.

Jade joined our Ladies side this season after returning from six years in America where she was an All American with the University of North Georgia in the NCAA.

After a fantastic season in which she has scored 14 goals and set up countless others, it was only a matter of time before a team from higher up the women's football league pyramid took an interest in her.

HTAFC Ladies Manager Jon Maloney said: “We were approached by Doncaster Belles this week as Jade had been recommended to them and had been training with them over the last week.

“This is a great opportunity for Jade to go and play in the Women's Super League and although disappointed to lose her, everyone at the club is delighted for her and she goes with our best wishes.

“Jade has been the consummate professional both on and off the pitch and is an inspiration to our younger players that she coaches in the Player Development Centre.”

Jade added: “I have loved being a part of this team and from day one I was made to feel welcome.

“The chance to go and prove myself with Doncaster Belles in the Women's Super League is an opportunity that I just couldn't turn down.

“After coming back from America and having not played competitively for 18 months, the transition was made easy by Jon, Ben Sadler and the players and I will always be grateful to them for that.

“I look forward to the challenges ahead and I would like to thank the coaches and players for everything they have done for me and I wish the club all the best moving forward.”

We would like to thank Jade for her efforts while at the club and wish her the best of luck at her new club.
