Town welcome Spennymoor Town to The CNG Stadium on Tuesday night having closed the gap at the top of the table to just one point with Saturday's result.
Victory over Gainsborough was Town's seventh consecutive league win at home, four of which have come with a clean sheet.
Opponents Spennymoor currently sit a point outside the play off places, but with four games in hand on Stockport in seventh place; and knowing a win could lift them as high as fourth.
Jason Ainsley has been in charge at Brewery Field since 2007 having overseen over 600 matches during that time, and will be hoping to secure a second successive promotion via the playoffs.
Moors had no fixture at the weekend, but ended a run of three league defeats and picked up their first win in six on Thursday night with a 1-0 success over Leamington.
The last, and only, meeting between the sides saw Spennymoor end Town's seven game winning run away from home with a 3-1 victory at Brewery Field in November.
Glen Taylor was on the score sheet on that occasion and his 15 goals this season earmark him as one to watch for the Town backline.
Simon Weaver's side have now gone 13 matches without defeat at The CNG Stadium and have the best home record in the division thanks to Saturday's win, though a Spennymoor side with the fifth best away record will be looking to put a dent in that statistic.
Town's 22 points from a possible 24 see them top the National League North's form table ahead of the clash, while Spennymoor would place 16th over the last five matches.
If selected, Jordan Thewlis and Jack Emmett could make their 40th appearances of the season, though the match is likely to come too soon for Louie Swain who continues to recover from a hamstring injury.
