Town welcome Chorley to The CNG Stadium on Sunday with a place in the National League North Play-Off Final awaiting the winners.
Matt Jansen's side have been losing Play-Off finalists in two of the last three seasons and overcame Stockport 1-0 on Wednesday night to leave themselves a game off reaching the final for a third time.
Much of The Magpies success this season has been based on a solid defence that has conceded the fewest goals away from home, though at the other end of the pitch no team in the top half scored fewer times.
Sunday's opponents enter the contest in good form on the back of five straight wins, while Jansen's side have lost just one of their previous 10 National League North matches.
