Town face another away match on Saturday as Simon Weaver's side take on Maidenhead United at York Road for the first time.
The fixture was originally scheduled for Saturday 17th November, but was postponed due to two Magpies players being called up to international duty with Montserrat.
The break seemed to do the trick for Alan Devonshire's side who have since brought to an end a six-game losing streak in The National League with a win at Sutton and point at home to Ebbsfleet on Tuesday night.
Having managed over 1,000 games in his career, Devonshire has the experience to steer his side away from the relegation zone, which they currently sit one point above.
To do so, Devonshire will be looking to sure up a defence that has conceded the most league goals this season and had shipped 19 in four games before a clean sheet at Sutton.
Home form will be crucial to Maidenhead's hopes of moving back up the table and bettering last season's 12th place finish, though Devonshire's side have collected maximum points just three times at York Road this season, the last occasion coming on September 15th.
Town's form on the road has been impressive so far, though defeats in the last three trips have damaged a previously unbeaten eight game run.
Tuesday night's defeat at Salford pushed Weaver's side down to fifth, though a win at York Road could see Town return to the league's top three.
Town will have to be wary of Reece Cole who netted a memorable free kick on Tuesday night on his Magpies debut having signed on loan from Brentford.
Joe Leesley is available for selection again with the winger having missed Tuesday night's trip to Salford through suspension.
