Towns U12/13s recorded a fantastic 6-0 victory on Friday night at Mansfield Town's brand new training facility, with goals coming from Harry Burland (2), Jacob Abbott (2), Andrew Todd and an O.G.
The game started at a great pace from both sides, but Town took the lead as a corner from Burland hit a Mansfield defender and went in.That put the players on the front foot and allowed Town to start stamping their authority with some excellent passing and moving.
This was rewarded with two excellent finishes from Burland and Town went in at half time 3-0 to the good.
The second half had the same pattern as the end of the first with Town's players showing great attitude without the ball and quality in possession.
It became 4-0 when Abbott did well to round the goalkeeper and finish from a tight angle.
It soon was 5-0 as Abbott finished into the bottom corner after great work from Shaw who was a threat all night.
The sixth goal came from Todd as a host of players were queuing up in the box to finish off yet another flowing move.
Overall, a fantastic commitment shown throughout from all the players and a massive thank you to all of those who made the long journey over.
