Town return to action at the CNG Stadium this Saturday against Dover Athletic, buoyed by a return of four points from their two recent fixtures over the Bank Holiday period.
A first home win of the season against Stockport County that ended a run of three successive defeats was followed up with a well-earned point at AFC Fylde.
Saturday's visitors currently lie in 6th position in the table, with four wins and three defeats from their opening seven matches, six of which have ended in a 2-1 scoreline.
Following a mid-table finish in 2018/19, Manager Andy Hessenthaler, now in his second-spell in charge at the club, brought in a number of new arrivals over the summer, most notably former Town midfielder Michael Woods.
And despite falling to a 2-1 defeat to league leaders Woking in their previous game, the Whites have largely made a positive start to the season and a 100% record on their travels so far suggests they will provide a tough test.
They have been boosted in particular by the early season form from their attack, with Inih Effiong, Alfie Pavey and Ricky Modeste each hitting the back of the net three times so far.
Town had the better of the encounters between the two sides last season, winning 3-2 on their travels and sharing the points at home thanks to Kelvin Langmead's injury-time equaliser that secured a 2-2 draw.
Highlights
Although the two sides are currently separated by nine places in the table, Town know that victory will see them move to within a point of their opponents and on the fringes of the playoff positions.
With only the injured Lloyd Kerry unavailable for selection, manager Simon Weaver faces plenty of competition for starting places amongst his squad following recent performances.
Saturday's fixture is NOT segregated, tickets are on sale online in advance for both home and away supporters through the below link, or are available on the gate.
