Testing start is sure to inspire Town to bounce back
League sponsors Vanarama have been busy assessing the season so far - and what's ahead!
The tale of the season...
A bright start soon turned into a downer with three defeats on the spin for Simon Weaver's men. It's still way to early to be smashing the panic button just yet though!
Weaver's take...
Simon Weaver apologised to fans following their latest reverse at Dagenham & Redbridge. He called the performances “one of the worst away performances I've seen in two or three years.”
Weaver also admitted how “crazy” his side have been after passing up so many “golden opportunities” after missing two penalties in their first fortnight.
Star man...
Brendan Kiernan has done well since arriving at the CNG Stadium. He's played almost every minute so far this campaign and is looking like a decent bit of business by Weaver. When the goals start flowing again, another promotion push is surely on the cards.
Stat attack...
League position: 18th
Home goals for: 2
Away goals for: 5
Home goals against: 4
Away goals against: 5
Top scorer: Will Smith (2)
Fan-eye view...
Fan @brody_pattison is looking at the bigger picture. He said, “Harrogate have come far as a football club over the last 10 years and it's only going to improve #proudtobetown.”
@NigelLaw7 has his say on where his side can improve. “Still feel we need more guile up top and would prefer Emmett playing just behind Muldoon,” he wrote on Twitter.
Coming soon...
Stockport County are next up, and it could be the worst possible time to play them. The Hatters have taken some adjusting to National League life but now they've found their feet and look like a well-oiled machine.
Look out for...
Without Matty Warburton, some fans might have been wondering where the goals would come from. Fear not. When Elliot Osborne hits them, they stay hit. His wonder strike on Saturday is an early contender for goal of the season. He could be worth keeping an eye on.
Last time out….
The two sides met in last season's FA Trophy as County completed what was then a cupset. Frank Mulhern got two goals as the Hatters wrapped up a 4-2 win in the replay. Will it be repeat or revenge?
League sponsors Vanarama have recently launched the National League Club Reward scheme to help fans back their club's budget. Every time a fan takes out a brand new van lease with Vanarama or a brand new car lease with Mototama their club will earn £100 and you will receive £30 cashback!
