Goals from Edson Prata, Aaron Haswell and Carl Robinson secured Town's place in the semi-final of the West Riding County Cup.
Josh Falkingham named a young side for the quarter final tie with Joe Cracknell the only senior figure in the side.
There were places in the squad for members of our U19 Youth Alliance side Lewis Thornton and Joe Gosling, with Thornton coming off the bench to make his first team debut alongside U17s player Harry Lee.
Town opened the scoring with the first attack of the game in the second minute. Edson Prata volleyed home at the back post following some good work down the right wing.
Two minutes later and Barnoldswick nearly got an equaliser after number nine Richard Seear got on the end of a well worked corner but failed to hit the target with his effort.
A frantic opening to the game continued when unmarked Town striker Panagios Katsamagkas saw his diving header fly over the cross bar from six yards out.
As the first half wore on, Barnoldswick grew into the game and forced Cracknell into a fantastic double save on the half hour mark to keep Town ahead.
Chances were few and far between for the remainder of the half with the final effort of the first 45 minutes falling to Town midfielder Carl Robinson, whose long range effort wasn't too far away from hitting the back of the visitor's net.
It took until the 64th minute for the first real chance of the second half. Some clever interplay down the right between Soni Fergus and Josh Wicks ended with the ball falling to Jack Crook who shifted the ball well to create space for a shot which only just cleared the cross bar
Three minutes later and Town came even closer. A great strike across goal by Aaron Haswell had to be deflected for a corner to stop the ball nestling into the back of the net.
With pressure from Town growing, they got the crucial second goal just before the 70th minute. Prata crossed in from the right with the ball dropping for Haswell. He composed himself to fire home and double the lead.
Haswell nearly grabbed his second of the night five minutes before time after hitting a fierce strike. A great save from the keeper denied the attacker.
In the final few minutes, manager Falkingham handed senior debuts to Lee (U17s) and Thornton (U19 Youth Alliance) in what was a special moment for the youngsters.
Barnoldswick got a goal back in the 90th minute following a mistake at the back but that was soon forgotten about as Carl Robinson instantly replied to finalised the score and send Town to the semi-final of the competition.
