Harrogate Town Girls PDC U11s 2 - Garforth Villa U11s 2
Last Sunday saw the inaugural fixture for the Harrogate Town Girls Player Development Centre u11 team who hosted Garforth Villa U11s.
A young Town team played some great football with Rebecca Chester scoring the PDC 's first ever goal in a competitive fixture.
The game was played in a tremendous spirit with both sides creating plenty of goal scoring opportunities.
It was Town who extended their lead when Immy Willetts completed a move that had started in defence with a great tackle from Jaden Rigg, followed by a great pass from Willow Philpott, both players rock solid in defence.
Scarlett Coad continued to create chances with her mazy dribbling and sharpshooter Bella Richardson came close to making it 3 -0.
In the final 15 minutes Garforth came right back into the game and even great defensive work from Lucy Carswell and Bella Vere couldn't stop Garforth from scoring twice in quick succession.
Versatile Amelia Troughton, who played in goal as well as centre forward, almost snatched victory with a great run and shot in the final minute, but the whistle went with the game carefully balanced at 2-2.
A great advert for girls' football following the Girls Gala which had attracted over 150 girls to The CNG Stadium.
