Harrogate Town got back to winning ways in front of the BT Sport cameras courtesy of goals from Lloyd Kerry , Jack Muldoon and the impressive Mark Beck.
Having not picked up a win in five in the league, a victory over Dover in the FA Trophy last weekend gave Simon Weaver's side confidence they could claim a first league since the 8th December.
Despite the cold weather, it was a sell out occasion at The CNG stadium; the visitors started the game with three new signings in their line-up, who themselves had lost the last two games on the bounce.
Town made the perfect start, in the fourth minute after a good run into the box from George Thomson, the midfielder attempted two shots on goal with the second ricocheting off a Hartlepool defender and into the path of Lloyd Kerry who slotted it home; his first goal of the campaign.
Moments later captain Josh Falkingham had a shot from distance which flew just past Scott Loach's post; Harrogate were looking impressive in the opening exchanges.
In the opening ten minutes Town were breaking fast with Beck and Muldoon looking threatening, but The Pools looked like they were settling into the game and were managing to fall back behind the ball and defend efficiently.
Jack Emmett was also impressing for Town, gliding through the Hartlepool defence to the by-line he managed to whip in a dangerous cross across the face of goal, but the Hartlepool defence were equal to it.
In the 19th minute Town had a chance to double their lead after Beck was fouled in the box due to having his shirt pulled, referee Marc Edwards pointed to the spot and awarded a penalty much to the dismay of the Hartlepool defence.
Thomson stepped up and aimed for the corner but the ex – England Under 21 'keeper Loach pulled off a fantastic save to keep the game at 1-0 to the home side, denying him his third goal of 2019.
In the 26th minute Hartlepool had their first significant chance of the game, new signing Luke Molyneux picked out fellow new signing Nicke Kabamaba in the Harrogate box who then got a headed effort away at goal, but Town number one James Belshaw stretched out to keep out the attempt.
Six minutes later Hartlepool had another good chance to level the game, Luke Molyneux whipped in a dangerous freekick and picked out the other Hartlepool new boy Michael Raynes who will be disappointed that his headed effort didn't find the back of the net.
Just before halftime Emmett tested Loach yet again, after a long period of passing play from Town, Emmett had a strike at goal but couldn't aim it either side of the visiting keeper.
Town started off the second half much like the first, in the 50th minute Muldoon was in the right place at the right time as the ball fell to him after Kerry regained possession, Muldoon then smashed the ball into the back of the net, giving Loach little chance to make the save.
In the 57th minute Money's side had a reply, new loan signing Nicke Kabamba bagged himself a debut goal after he attacked the far post and found the back of the after a lovely turn and strike.
In the 67-minute Harrogate's number nine Beck restored Town's two goal cushion.
Beck who had been impressing all afternoon got onto the end of a Muldoon cross and rose like a salmon and managed to hang in the air to get a headed effort at the bar which then ricochet over the line.
Beck carried on his impressive performance moments later' after a mix up between Hartlepool defender and keeper, Beck found himself in space, but the Pools stopper Loach managed to recover.
Despite conceding Hartlepool didn't give up, Jake Cassidy went on a great run and had a decent shot on Belshaw's goal but just couldn't bend it into the far corner.
Harrogate continued to put pressure on The Pools goal, defensive mistakes lead to chances for Ryan Fallowfield and Kerry, but they couldn't find there fourth of the afternoon.
