Town recorded their fourth straight away win in style with an emphatic 4-0 win over Braintree at Cressing Road.
Jack Emmett opened the scoring after just two minutes before Mark Beck's calm finish put Town two ahead ten minutes in.It was three before the break as George Thomson got in on the act, before Beck tapped in Jack Muldoon's low cross to claim his second and ensure Town recorded their biggest away win of the season.
Simon Weaver named the same starting XI for the fourth consecutive match, while Jack Senior took the place of the unwell Liam Kitching on the bench.
Town made the best possible start to the contest as, within the opening two minutes, Emmett burst forward from midfield and was able to loft the ball over the advancing Braintree goalkeeper.
The lead was doubled eight minutes later when the ball broke to Beck in behind the Braintree defence from where the striker was able to round the keeper and fire past the two recovering defenders on the line.
It should have been three in the 13th minute when Josh Falkingham released Jack Muldoon in on goal, though Town's top scorer's finish was saved by Braintree stopper Ben Killip
Muldoon was again denied in a one-on-one position just moments after almost converting Thomson's low left wing cross.
Town's top scorer was causing all kinds of problems to the home defence and nearly found the net in splendid fashion as he fired just over after spinning his marker on the edge of the box.
Eight minutes before the break Town got a deserved third when James Belshaw's goal kick set up Muldoon, whose finish was palmed away into the path of Thomson to find the empty net.
The second haf continued in the same fashion as the first as Town took just 11 minutes to add to their lead; Beck converting Muldoon's exclellent low cross to claim his second of the afternoon.
Despite Town hitting four, the ball just would not go in for Muldoon who saw another chance go squandering when his low shot from Beck's flick on beat the goalkeeper, but also the post.
Town were denied a fifth goal by two on the line clearances in quick succession as first Thomson's shot was hooked away from the bottom corner, before, from the resulting set piece, Callum Howe was denied a ninth goal of the season.
Weaver used the opportunity to give minutes to Liam Agnew, Michael Woods and Aaron Williams from the half time whistle onwards, with Woods almost getting on the score sheet late on after capitalising on a defensive mistake, but seeing Killip rush out and claim the ball in the last of the action.
