Bromley Preview

4 March 2019

After being denied a win at the very death against Dagenham on Saturday, Town will be looking to dust themselves down and go again on Tuesday night.

Simon Weaver's side welcome Bromley to The CNG Stadium for the first time, having met once before back in October, when the sides played out a 1-1 draw at Hayes Lane.

Highlights

Callum Howe's eighth goal of the season, and first of 2019, looked to have secured all three points on Saturday before a stoppage time equaliser, though Weaver will be pleased to see see his centre half back amongst the goals.

After eight seasons in the Conference South, Tuesday night's opponents secured promotion to The National League in 2014/15, clinching the title.

The Ravens finished 14th in their first campaign at a National League level, before building on that with a 9th place finish and FA Trophy Final appearance at Wembley Stadium, where they lost to Brackley Town, the following season.

In the opposition technical area will be Neil Smith who, after finishing his playing career with Bromley, had coached at Grays Athletic, Croydon and Lewes before reuniting with The Ravens as Assistant Manager.

In February 2016 Smith took over as interim Manager and, after a successful run of results, was given the job on a permanent basis.

Despite a home defeat to Boreham Wood at the weekend denting recent form, Bromley remain impressive away from home; scoring in 76% of their away matches and going unbeaten in their last four.

Bromley currently sit in 11th place in the National League on 47 points and will be looking to close the ten point gap between themselves and Town on Tuesday night.

Tickets will be on sale online until midnight on Monday 4th March through the below link, or on the gate on the day of the match.
