Jack Diamond has today had his contract extended until the end of the season.
The winger is currently on loan from League One side Sunderland and has made 12 appearances this season, creating three goals. The 19-year-old played a key part in Town's ten match unbeaten streak, with his pace and dribbling providing a real handful for defenders.
Manager Simon Weaver has been impressed with the ability and attitude that Diamond has:
“He's got a great willingness to work hard”, Weaver said.
“Jack's a bit of a throwback winger, in terms that he wants to get at the full backs and he's exciting to watch. Plus, he's got that good raw edge about him and determination to win.”
“He's been a really good addition for us and a real threat. He'll become more of a goal threat the more he plays.”
We look forward to watching Jack develop as a player and contribute to the club for the remainder of the season.
