We are delighted to announce Warren Burrell has been awarded National League Player of the Month for January, while top scorer Jack Muldoon has signed a new long-term deal with the club.
Both come as welcome news ahead of Saturday's FA Trophy last-16 clash with Eastleigh at The CNG Stadium.29-year-old Burrell played every minute of our five fixtures over the course of the month, helping Town concede just two goals and keep a clean sheet in four of the five matches.
Our number six was vital in a run of games that has propelled us up to second in the National League table and into Saturday's FA Trophy Third Round.
Burrell is one of the most experienced players in the Town squad with over 200 appearances for the club and committed his long term future to the club with a new contract in November.
Warren becomes the first Town player to win the award at National League level, following Simon Weaver's Manager of the Month gong in October.
Congratulations, Warren!
Following the recent news that James Belshaw and Lloyd Kerry have committed their long-term futures to the club, we are pleased to announce Jack Muldoon has also signed a new deal to ensure his future lies at The CNG Stadium.
The striker leads the way for both goals and assists this season with 11 goals and eight assists, taking his total goal involvement in 2019/20 to 19 in 34 starts.
Muldoon has gone from strength to strength since his first season at the club where he finished as top goalscorer with 17 goals and contributed seven assists, helping Town to a Play-Off place.
The former AFC Fylde forward is closing in on 100 appearances for the club having been a regular since signing in June 2018.
