With the news our schools are set to close from today (Friday 20th March) we can provide an update on the work done by our Community team.

Our Community Sports Coaches have continued to work in schools until yesterday (Thursday 19th March) delivering classroom activities and after school activity clubs.
 
The lessons link physical activity with enrichment in literacy and numeracy supporting pupils and teachers in developing new ways to learn.

The Premier League Primary Stars programme goes from strength to strength and the number of schools we work in continues to increase.

The Foundation also works closely with the Schools Sports Partnership supporting primary school competitions across the district.
 
Now that schools are closed, the Community Team will be using the time planning future community projects in schools and with other community groups including Walking Football, Sporting Memories and looking in to projects around social inclusion and helping to tackle loneliness.
