A new arrangement has been made that will see Harrogate Town AFC Community Foundation helping with the collection and delivery of much needed food aid locally.
Following recent enquiries about supporting local food banks, the Foundation has agreed to help with the collection and delivery of food the from Fair Share warehouse in Barnsley/Leeds straight to the Resurrected Bites project running out of St Mark's Church.
Collections have been made possible by Ringways Motor Group Leeds who have provided the Community Foundation use of the Ford Transit Van. The space allows two pallets worth of food that has been donated by Fairshare or that is shortly going out of date to be used to prepare meals and care packages for those in need within Harrogate.
The Harrogate Town AFC Community Team will collect and deliver food supplies weekly and are looking forward to the continual support of local food banks. It is hoped that this arrangement will underlay future projects that compliment the great work that already takes place.
