How the latest Government Guidelines Affect Harrogate Town AFC

24 February 2021

On Monday 22nd February the Government revealed their roadmap for lifting lockdown restrictions in England, which will impact our club in many ways…

Firstly, supporters being able to return to stadia no earlier than 17th May means our remaining EFL fixtures in the 2020/21 season will be played behind closed doors. Should we reach the end of season Play-Offs, further guidance will be issued.

2020/21 Half Season Ticket Holders will not be issued with refunds, though will remain able to stream our fixtures at no extra cost.

2020/21 Season Ticket Deposit Holders will be contacted directly via email with options for their unused Deposit in due course.

We are awaiting further guidance from the relevant authorities before we can confirm arrangements for ticketing for the 2021/22 season.

Prior to the return of supporters for the 2020/21 season, guidance will be issued on the protocols surrounding the safe return of supporters to the EnviroVent Stadium.

FA Trophy Final

As of yet the club has not received a date for the 2020 FA Trophy Final against Concord Rangers, due to be played at Wembley Stadium. Further information regarding this fixture will be released once it becomes available.

Player Development Centre

Our Player Development Centre will resume on Monday 29th March 2021 subject to no change in the current Government guidance. Parents will be contacted prior to this date with further information including schedule, payment and safety measures in place.

Youth/Ladies Teams

On Monday 22nd February the FA issued the following update - The 2020/21 season has been extended until the end of June in order to provide additional flexibility and time for leagues to complete their fixtures this season if they wish to do so.

We expect more information from relevant leagues within the coming weeks in regards to fixtures resuming. Team Managers will be in touch with members of the team to discuss any plans to return to training.

Education Programme

We are currently evaluating whether our Education offering will continue to run online, or return to The EnviroVent Stadium with safety protocols in place, which could be an option no earlier than the 8th March. Students will be contacted directly regarding any changes.

Shop

Our club shop at The EnviroVent Stadium is able to re-open no earlier than Monday 12th April. Should this be the case, opening times will be communicated closer to the time.

In the meantime, our online store remains operational, with both collection and delivery available.
