An Update From the MD Regarding Limited Capacities

10 July 2021

Managing Director Garry Plant has offered the below update regarding the restrictions imposed on our pre-season friendlies against Newcastle and Rotherham...

We would like to further explain matters with regard to the reduced capacity for the Newcastle and Rotherham matches.

We are bound by Covid restrictions for the Newcastle match which includes maintaining the Red Zone adhering to social distancing and the bubble ruling.

It is a blow to the club and supporters that this is the case for the time being.

Whilst the Covid rules are set to relax on 19 July Public Health England and DCMS are reviewing stadium rules and it may well be that red zones have to be maintained until they advise further.

We play Rotherham on 21 July and under the circumstances in agreement with Rotherham we had little option but to proceed on the basis that a red zone would have to be maintained.

On a final note we are very pleased to advise that U14 season ticket holders and any U14 who purchases an available match day ticket will be able to attend the matches.

Initial guidance issued by the club stating U14s could not attend was based on a misinterpretation of information and for that we would like to sincerely apologise for any confusion or offence this may have caused.

U12's must be accompanied by an adult in line with the club's safeguarding policy.
