Crowd Segregation 2021/22 Season

1 June 2021

On promotion to the Football League the club had to meet strict ground criteria including a capacity of 5000 with 1000 seats including 100 seats under cover for away supporters.

Every match has to be segregated irrespective of who you play or when.

In May this year after many months of work with North Yorkshire Safety Advisory Group (SAG) and the Sports Ground Safety Association (SGSA) we achieved a Designated Ground  accreditation.

To comply with the regulations laid down in The Guide to Safety at Sports Grounds, also known as The Green Guide, we had to meet all the calculations for crowds entering (ingress) and leaving the stadium (egress) as well as the provision of Emergency Egress.

As a consequence and to be compliant, from next season the away support segregation will be The Myrings Stand, changing room end terrace, the seated stand on Wetherby Road, and the first section of the Envirovent Stand.

This does mean that we will lose the use of the 1919 bar and we are working with our catering team to ensure that the food outlets in the AON Stand and the new family stand are geared up to meet the demands of our supporters.

We will keep you posted on all our progress in the coming weeks before our first pre-seaon match against Newcastle. We will make sure supporters know what refreshments are on offer, the prices and we will be issuing a survey to ask what supporters would like  to see on offer at matches.

Please bear with us and thank you for your valued support.
