With another home match against Gillingham this Saturday, the Town number one insists the squad are itching to get back playing.
“Since I've been in, the lads have been brilliant in front of me and their experience at this level of football will hopefully stand us in good stead between now and the end of the season.
“We were resolute against a team who are chasing automatic promotion and I think overall we did have the better chances to win the game. However, it's only a good point if we back it up on Saturday.
“Other than the Swindon game, our recent performances have been really encouraging but we have got to get the results now.”
However, Town's stopper acknowledges the side are in for a tough test.
“Since January they have been in good form so it'll be a tough game for us. We go into it believing we can get the three points.
“We are due a result at home, so hopefully we can get we can go out there and get that result on Saturday.”
The 32-year-old has been in a strong run of form having returned to the side in recent weeks. When discussing his return to the side, Ox believes preparation has been key as he looks to nail down a place in the starting line-up.
“It's obviously frustrating when you aren't playing but I have prepared as well as I can and tried to back the team wherever I can when I haven't playing.
“When you're not playing it is easy to get down on yourself but it's just a matter of being patient and taking your opportunity when it comes.”
Fellow goalkeeper Pete Jameson has been ruled out with a thumb injury. However, Ox revealed the close bond between the Town ‘keepers has helped him to prepare for matches.
“Myself and Pete get on really well off the pitch, we are a close knit group and we're always trying to help and support each other no matter who is starting.”
